Founded in 1975, Bont began when Inze Bont, a recreational skater decided to fiberglass the back of his leather skates to gain extra support. A simple, yet innovative approach which started a company now in its 36th year, with product ranges across two highly competitive sports and sales across 56 countries. In 2007, Bont expanded its product line into the cycling market and working together with world class athletes, launched its initial offering of cycling shoes and in its inaugural year at the 2008 Beijing Olympics finished with 8 Gold medals. Bont Cycling has rapidly grown its product line to over 12 models for all disciplines of cycling. Bont Cycling Shoes are designed to fit you All the shoes in this sale have fully heat moldable chasses. They can be heated in the oven at relatively low temperatures and then molded to the shape of your feet ensuring that you have the best possible fit and the most comfortable ride possible. Please ensure to read all Bont's recommended molding instructions before molding your cycling shoes. |

Carbon Fiber: As strong as steel with a fraction of the weight and Bont has been producing carbon based footwear since 1989. Bont use a combination of 3k Plain carbon fiber, which is a tightly woven carbon used in the aircraft industry, and Unidirectional carbon which means the direction the carbon is laid in can be determined to produce extremely stiff, lightweight shoes. |

Foam Padding: Most cycling shoes are made with sponge foam padding which absorbs water when it gets wet meaning your shoes get very heavy if your feet sweat or you ride through a puddle. Bont use a high quality closed cell memory foam which doesn't absorb water ensuring you don't gain additional weight as you ride. |

Manufacturing: Bont produce cycling shoes by hand inside out in a skill intensive process, which whilst more expensive ensures that Bont lead the market in cycling shoe performance. |

Resin Development: Bont have been developing resin for over 36 years. Formulating a resin that is super stiff, yet becomes moldable at low temperatures and has a fast cure time. The resin becomes soft at just 60C (140F) which is the lowest in the industry. Once you heat the resin, mold the shoe and let it set, it is permanently set without the need to remold. You can also reheat the resin as many times as you like. |
